Published by Piatkus.

DVD description

1 in 4 people are addicted or dependent to a substance, be it illegal, illicit or prescribed. In the UK an estimated 5 million are addicted to alcohol and a further 5 million to prescribed drugs. Many more are hooked on cigarettes, caffeine, sugar. There is a way to 'unaddict' the brain, dramatically reducing the symptoms so commonly experienced by abstinence, the very symptoms that often drive people back to their addictive habits.

This 3.5 hour interactive computer-based distance-learning CD on Nutritional Strategies for Breaking Addiction will give you the tools and essential training as nutritional therapists to help your clients break their addictions once and for all.

You will learn...

  • How the brain becomes addicted
  • Signs of addiction and how to assess abstinence symptoms
  • The keys to 'unaddicting' the brain
  • Specific nutritional strategies for reversing addiction and reducing abstinence symptoms.

At the end of the course there is a test. On completing this test and attaining 70%, or above, correct answers you will be eligible to receive a 3.5 hours BANT approved CPD certificate.
